Just a gut-wrenching loss for Slovenia in this one. Luka Doncic recorded just the third triple-double in Olympic history (and first since Lebron James in 2012) but a poor shooting day for Doncic and a stacked French roster proved (just barely) to be too much for Slovenia.

NOTE: Also, I mentioned it was “a great, great game” from Luka. I’d like to amend that due to his shooting struggles and just say it was a good game in which he found other ways to contribute and impact the game but -by his standards- it was just an okay game. That’s largely a testament to how good he generally is.
