The French video game developer behind Detroit: Become Human finds itself faced with allegations of workplace harassment and tolerating racist and sexist behavior. Studio founder, David Cage is specifically named in the reports outlined by three different French publications. Cage vociferously disputes the allegations first published by Le Monde, the Parisian newspaper of record.
Every now and then a truly original game breaks onto the scene and takes the masses by storm. Cuphead: Don’t Deal with the Devil is one of those games. The latest indie darling, Cuphead is a classic run and gun title from developer Studio MDHR. But not everything was roses and sunshine for Studio MDHR. First unveiled in 2014, Cuphead saw 3 years of development hell as it’s hand-drawn (frame by frame) style animation became an understandable, albeit wildly unique albatross around the neck of any release date. Although it’s now considered the bronze medal of the gaming industry, Nintendo’s track record and long list of classics make it the indisputable king of gaming in the eyes of many. For many, the Metroid Prime Trilogy is hailed as a masterclass. It’s viewed not only as some of the finest games in the Metroid series but in gaming in general. Developed by Retro Studios between 2002 and 2007, the Metroid Prime series brought Metroid into the 3D world for the first time. More than that, it […]

In case you missed our inaugural edition of Plus/Minus, the series focuses on game reviews for the titles we play on our gaming channel. Said reviews are only written once either Jacob Taylor or myself have completed a game on the channel. The intention is not to issue a grade or a score, but merely […]
