At one point in his career Defensive End Robert Quinn was considered to be one of the most feared pass rushers in the entire NFL. That time of course was thought to be behind him at this point in his career, but that doesn’t appear to be the case by the way he’s playing so far with the Dallas Cowboys.

Despite missing the first two games of the 2019 season due to a suspension, Robert Quinn is leading the Dallas Cowboys in quarterback sacks (3). Quinn has been the main beneficiary of all the extra attention DeMarcus Lawrence is receiving. Lawrence is facing double teams and chip blocks on a regular basis, and rightfully so. He is still one of the best DEs in the game today, despite what his stats may suggest.

I know a lot of you are expecting a lot more from DeMarcus Lawrence considering the large amount of money he just received from the Dallas Cowboys. But, make no mistake, he’s doing his job and doing it really well. It’s one of the reasons why Robert Quinn is currently on pace to challenge his career-high in QB sacks (19).

You would have to go back several years, but Robert Quinn was a serious contender in 2013 of breaking the single-season QB sack record. Averaging a sack and a half a game so far this season puts him in that ballpark once again. If he continues on his current pace he’s looking at finishing this year with 18 sacks. –…
